'PokeDates', the World's First Pokemon Go Dating Service, Launches to Organize Pokemon Go Dates Nationwide

PokeDates, the world's first Pokemon Go dating service, officially launches today to enable singles nationwide to explore their city with someone new while playing the popular Pokemon Go game.

"PokeDates" are curated dates where singles are matched based on their questionnaire preferences and a mutual desire to play Pokemon Go. PokeDates coordinates all the details, from selecting the match to finding a time based on members' provided availability, to selecting a convenient PokeGym or PokeStop meeting point.

"Project Fixup is known for creating tailored dates that enable people with similar interests to do something fun together in the real world", said Sarah Press, co-founder and CEO of Project Fixup. "As soon as Pokemon Go launched, we knew it was a perfect fit for our users; Pokemon Go enthusiasts and new members alike."

The first PokeDate is free, and members can earn more PokeDates by referring friends or paying $20 per date.

PokeDates was launched by Project Fixup, a popular offline dating startup that launched in Chicago in 2012 and has since arranged thousands of fixups across the U.S.

HOW POKEDATES WORK

1) Sign up at www.GoPokeDates.com and answer a few questions

Tell us about yourself and what you seek in a PokeMatch. One of our PokeDate Specialists will review and approve your PokeProfile. Team Instinct, Mystic, or Valor, we accept all.

2) Members share their schedule

Once a PokeDate Specialist has approved an account, the user will be eligible for PokeDates. Just enter in availability and our PokeDate Specialists will start searching the PokeDatesDex to find someone with similar interests.

3) Members confirm their PokeDate

Members will receive an email with all the details of their customly-designed PokeDate, including a paragraph about your selected PokeMatch and a time and place to meet. If everything looks good, it's just a few clicks to confirm and the date is one. The first PokeDate is FREE with promo code "POKEDATES2016" and there's no cost to sign up, no subscription or hidden fees. Members can go on more PokeDates by referring friends or paying $20 per date.

"Our service is like your best friend fixing you up with someone they think you'll like" said Dank Korenevsky, Chief Fixup Officer at Project Fixup. "Except we know more people than they do, listen to what you're looking for without injecting our own opinions, and happen to know all the best bars, coffeeshops, and in this case PokeStops."

"People dating online are spending more time online than out there dating, and since it all comes down to human chemistry, we wanted to cut out all the steps between signing up to a service and going on a date. Browsing, swiping, messaging back-and-forth starts as fun and exciting and turns into a huge time-suck. Pokedates and Project Fixup give people their time back and turns online dating into offline dating," said Korenevsky.

"PokeDates are a perfect addition to the Project Fixup dating theme roster," said Press. "We've worked with bike sharing companies for bike ride themes, comedy clubs for comedy themes, and multiple bars for classic themes like wine dates, whiskey dates, craft beer dates and more. PokemonGo has taken the world by storm and it's more fun to play with a companion."

"We hope PokeDates will bring singles together to experience the joy of the game and explore their city while getting to know one another."
