Championship football club Preston North End has made its second January transfer window signing but the new addition will be helping the club score goals on a slightly different field.
With Deepdale Stadium now one of the more modern playing arenas in the Championship, the club have appointed website design agency Design Logix (http://www.design-logix.co.uk) to create a website which will promote the stadium and its hospitality events.
The club is focusing on developing its conferencing and banqueting operations with the website helping to kick-start an aggressive marketing campaign which will launch in the New Year. Conferencing and banqueting has become an attractive business venture for many clubs in the UK and as recently as 2008, Arsenal's Emirates Stadium was awarded business venue of the year so it is a market in which PNE hope to exploit.
Design Logix who themselves are based in Preston operate under the SDS Technology Group umbrella and have managed to build up an impressive portfolio of clients since its inception. Design Logix will create a website which encompasses the latest web solutions such as flash, javascript and FLV videos helping to create a professional multi-paged site. Further use of video will enable visitors to fully interact with the club and stadium which includes a virtual tour of the rooms available for hire within the stadium so that potential customers can see for themselves if the rooms are satisfactory to their requirements.
With Deepdale included in England's 2018/2022 World cup bid submission as a support venue to host completing nations at the tournament, the website will look to increase the brand awareness about the stadium both locally and nationally. The club itself may not be in the Premier League but its conferencing and banqueting facilities are certainly Premier League standard.
