Pinnacle Marketing & Promotions Attracts Top Talent

The Director of Operations at Pinnacle Marketing & Promotions discussed the firm's active role in college campus recruiting and shared interview tips. He also detailed a recent networking event and new executive office.

Pinnacle Marketing & Promotions continues to build a reputation as an industry leader and grow at a healthy rate. To manage the many demands of rapid expansion, company leaders are looking for sharp talent to join their team. “We look everywhere for the brightest candidates who want to develop along with our firm,” said Raymond, the firm’s Director of Operations. “That includes university and community college campuses, where we maintain a strong presence at career fairs and related events.”

Raymond and the rest of the executive team at Pinnacle Marketing & Promotions value college graduates because they bring such a committed student mind-set to their work. The Director explained, “Talented people right out of college are accustomed to learning new concepts and applying them right away. This helps graduates quickly adapt to our progressive training program and our aggressive form of innovation. We want people who can keep up with the latest technology and best industry practices, and college grads fit the bill.”

"He had the chance to practice his networking skills, and I have no doubt that Mark brought back some valuable new contacts. It's amazing how the connections you make at events like these present unexpected opportunities down the road, and I'm excited to see what the future holds."

The Director believes there are two key questions that must be asked when interviewing potential hires. He explained, “I think you have to ask candidates what has made them successful in the past. When you do this, you gain amazing insights into what makes a person tick. People know what makes them successful, and they always have definitive answers to this question. If it’s apparent that a candidate has thought a lot about what has enabled his or her success, you can be confident in hiring that individual.”

Raymond also suggests asking each candidate what makes him or her truly happy. “You need to gauge a person’s cultural fit,” he added. “This question helps you do that, because the answer you receive tells you if a candidate’s passions align with your company’s mission.”
