Pierre Bernier Named as Ring Announcer for "The Tribute" Live Professional Boxing Event in Toronto on April 22, 2016

​Global Legacy Boxing has announced that Pierre Bernier will handle ring announcing responsibilities for “The Tribute” Live Professional Boxing event being hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist Lennox Lewis on Friday April 22, 2016 at The Bluma Apel Theater in Toronto. The Tribute event marks the 50th anniversary of the 1966 battle between Muhammad Ali and George Chuvalo in Toronto. There will be six exciting bouts featuring Canadian and international boxers.

​Bernier is arguably the preeminent boxing announcer in Canada. He has been a ring announcer since 2003 as well as the main announcer for “Eye of the Tiger Management” since 2010. Bernier has worked the ring in North America and Internationally for HBO, Showtime, Fox Sports, CBS, ESPN, TSN, TVA Sports, RDS, Channel 5 UK and The Fight Network.

“I am beyond excited to have this opportunity to be the ring announcer for this big time, world-class event hosted by Lennox Lewis in Toronto,” Bernier remarked. “Working with Global Legacy boxing is very exciting. Ring the bell…it’s time to go toe to toe!”
