PESA ATR 220 Now with Protection from EC Systems
EC Systems, an expert in implementation of industrial diagnostic and control systems, in cooperation with the PESA company upgraded the VT1002 module for use on the ATR 220 rail vehicle.
Krakow, Poland, June 25, 2015 (Newswire.com) - VIBtransmitter (VT) is a product line, that has been developed for almost 10 years, and is dedicated for condition monitoring and diagnostics of rotating machinery with constant and variable rotational speed. The VT1002D module’s default use is in automation systems for protection of machines and devices. The changes made in the scope of the project for the PESA company were focused, among other issues, on adjusting of the product, its manufacturing process and the manufacturing line to comply with the following norms:
· EN50155 related to the use of electronic devices on rail vehicles,
· EN61373 related to resistance of devices to shock and vibration,
· EN50121 related to electromagnetic compatibility of devices on rail vehicles.
Thanks to the fulfillment of the rigorous requirements, since the middle of 2014, the VIBtransmitter can be freely used on rail vehicles.
The PESA company, which is a manufacturer of rail vehicles both for urban and long distance transport, is using the VT1002D module in the protection circuit, which stops power supply on a fuel pump of diesel engine in case of a crash. The modified module is currently used on newly modernized ATR 220 vehicle. First such vehicles are operated in Italy by the national carrier, the Trenitalia company. The vehicle has been designed and built to carry regional and interregional passenger traffic. Its construction and equipment ensures high travel comfort with little footprint on environment. Currently 41 of ATR 220 vehicles are operated in Italy. The company currently works on fulfillment of next ATR 220 orders from other countries.
