English Station Road, Louisville, KY 40245, June 10-12, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. Online registration is closed but walk-ups are encouraged. Kids & Pros knows that playing football can teach athletes more than just skills and coordination but also life lessons that can build character. The organization is staffed by current and former NFL professionals who provide camp and clinic athletes important takeaway lessons, incorporating the following five principles: Teamwork, Excellence, Perseverance, Integrity, Sportsmanship.
Founded in 2002, Kids & Pros hosted its first camp and today has reached more than 57,000 young athletes in 10 states. Committed to supporting athletes and promoting player safety from the start, Kids & Pros has also been involved in various initiatives. Executive Director Buddy and his former Falcons teammate, Bobby Butler, provide hands-on-teaching of skills fundamentals, as well as instruction on the character values engendered by football that are the key to success on and off the football field. In 2013, Buddy became a Master Trainer with USA Football, the Official Youth Football Development Partner of the National Football League. As a Master Trainer, Buddy is trained to create a new standard in football by preparing Player Safety Coaches to implement the “Heads Up Football” program within their organizations. Buddy was also named to the Advisory Council of the National Council on Youth Sports Safety, presenting at several of the P.A.S.S. (Protecting Athletes and Sports Safety) Huddles in 2015. In September 2016, Curry took part in a House Subcommittee Briefing on Brain Safety/Concussion Awareness alongside the Childress Institute and Gfeller Center.
Kids & Pros is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation and character-based youth sports organization that engages retired NFL Players in their communities to teach football fundamental skills and character lessons to youth ages 7-13.
