PennySaverUSA.com Readers Can Place a Free Greeting for Dads & Grads in the California PennySaver using Twitter. Deadline for submitting #msg2dad or #msg2grad tweets is Thursday, June 10

06.08.2010 - Harte-Hanks PennySaverUSA.com® is excited to expand its use of Twitter as an additional channel for accepting free announcements in the California PennySaver. PennySaverUSA.com readers can now send free Dads & Grads announcements using Twitter. Deadline is 4:00 p.m. PDT on Thursday, June 10, 2010.

These free Dads & Grads ads will be published in the PennySaverUSA.com print publication and sent out to their specified region the week of June 16th. Greetings can be placed through the phone, fax or traditional mail, and now, using Twitter.

"We are excited to help our readers and customers see the benefit of using Twitter to easily and quickly place free announcements into our local printed editions in California. Twitter's short-form, real-time mechanism makes it easy for our millions of readers to submit their announcement in ten seconds or less," says Loren Dalton, president of PennySaverUSA.com.

Twitter's platform allows users to send messages in 140 characters or less which typically fits within the 15-word, 3-line message limit that PennySaverUSA.com has in print.

Tweets must include a valid California zip code and the hash tag #msg2dad or #msg2grad. PennySaverUSA.com will monitor these feeds for messages and publish them, subject to space limitations, in the zip code provided.

This is the second in a series of integrated Twitter/Print campaigns that PennySaverUSA.com will be launching throughout the year.

Visit the PennySaverUSA.com blog for more information on the Dads & Grads promotion.
