Pandamonium Play Centre Will Be Replaced By Offices And Flats To Bring New Residents Into The Area
Online, April 8, 2012 (Newswire.com) - A play centre in Uckfield will be demolished in favour of new housing and business space.
With more people moving into the UK there needs to be more space for them to both live and work in. Uckfield is evidence of this fact because a local play centre is being demolished in order to create new housing and offices for old and new residents to come and occupy.
Pandamonium Play Centre was a play centre like any other, full of laughing children running all over the place and having a really great time with each other. Now the play centre has fallen into a state of dilapidation and there is no choice but to destroy the building that is loved by so many locals.
The building has a leaking roof which reached the end of its service life long ago. Unfortunately because it is built from asbestos concrete it will cost more that £440,000 to remove, and then there is the cost of replacing it. Because of this the company cannot afford to continue trading, and the building is left to either rot or be destroyed.
The steel structures in place where Pandamonium traded for so many years are in a very good condition and will more than likely be used by the new owners once they have removed the roof.
This is truly great news because it means that the area won't be receiving a brand new eyesore to stare at. Instead in a rare turn of events, locals will be able to gaze at the building that housed their children and think of the fond memories they have from there.
Many new indoor play facilities are setting up around the country, and these should be able to take the place of Pandemonium in the eyes of locals.
