• New Pennsylvania Christmas Tree IPM Manual - A new manual will help Pennsylvania growers identify, monitor and control insect and disease pests affecting Christmas trees using IPM.
• Uninvited Guests - Stink Bugs
• Philadelphia Partnership Addresses Urban Pest Problems - Bed bugs and other urban pest problems were the focus of the Philadelphia School and Community Integrated Pest Management Partnership (PSCIP) annual meeting held recently at Concilio (Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations, Inc.) in Philadelphia.
• Penn State "Goes Green for Kids" in New Project - Safer pest control and cleaning practices are being promoted through a new Penn State educational program geared toward child care providers of home-based and center-based child care facilities.
• Threat of RNA Viruses Widespread in Pollinator Community - Penn State researchers have found that native pollinators, such as wild bees and wasps, are infected by the same viral diseases as honey bees and that these viruses are transmitted via pollen.
• PA IPM Coordinator Receives ESA Award - A trio of Penn State agriculture professors were recently recognized by the Eastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America for achievement in their respective fields.
• EPA's Toll-free Spanish Pesticide Hotline - The EPA has added a Spanish option for its toll-free pesticide hotline so Spanish speaking people can have their questions about pesticides answered.
