Organizational Strategies Inc. Returns to 2016 NAB to Demonstrate Power of Video Analytics in Sports and Media
McLean, Va, March 25, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Organizational Strategies Inc. (OSI) made its NAB Show debut at 2015 NAB with its media and video analytics solutions. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, held April 16-21, 2016 in Las Vegas, is the world's largest electronic media show covering the creation, management, and delivery of content across all platforms. Since last year’s event, OSI has continued to develop newer and more powerful solutions for the sports and media industry. This year, OSI will be demonstrating its powerful video analytics solutions for both sports and media entertainment by joining NetApp and Fingerworks at 2016 NAB, as well as a suite at the Cosmopolitan. NetApp provides software, systems, and services for data storage and management to leading organizations throughout the world. Fingerworks offers the number one broadcast telestrator, used by CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, and more.
OSI’s solution is able to provide “superstats”, real-time statistics such as the G-force of a tackle or acceleration of an athlete, to broadcasters and telecasters during live coverage. Advanced technologies in OSI’s solutions also allow for real-time recognition of logos, brands, and faces the moment they air live in a broadcast, and their visual analytics capabilities make it possible to digitally imprint advertising into previous dead space, such as the end zone background of a live football game.
Powered by VĀTĒS, a Big Data engine, OSI creates metadata and information from live broadcasts or archived data. VĀTĒS connects the media and entertainment industries with the consumer, who can discover what is trending and focus on the customer needs in seconds. VĀTĒS has evolved to push market and trends research from days, weeks, and months to real-time analysis. In real-time, a media outlet can search archived data, mine social media, and provide instant current and historical stats.
Based on OSI’s Big Data Analytics, VĀTĒS creates information/metadata from video, audio, and broadcast. OSI’s smart engine catalogues actors, voice-to-text, facial recognition, and voice recognition, to create a virtual cloud for viewing broadcasts. VĀTĒS can take key identifiers and categorize them in just about any imaginable way possible. Some of the many examples are searching a movie scene for a specific line, categorizing television shows by subject matter, discovering similar sports stats on a specific player, creating a Video On Demand (VOD) function based on similar storylines and other endless possibilities of metadata tagging.
The NetApp booth is located at SL10110, and the Fingerworks booth is located at SL7410. More locations may be forthcoming, and details will be released as the event draws closer.
