Opening Act™ Finalist Mela Bee Prepares New Music Release

The young indie rocker will be working with award-winning engineers on the upcoming track

Opening Act is excited to announce that 2021 Competition finalist Mela Bee, a Canadian singer-songwriter who just recently launched her Twitch channel, is preparing new music.

The up-and-coming indie rocker is working hard on her next release, which will be mastered by multi-Grammy-nominated engineer James Forbes and mixed by Sefi Carmel, who is credited on tracks for David Bowie, Phil Collins, Michael Bublé, and more.

"The difference in quality when you can actually afford to record music at a professional level is out of this world," says Mela Bee in a tweet from November 30 that announces the news of the upcoming single.

During the 2021 Opening Act Competition, musicians worldwide competed for $10,000 cash and the opening slot at Audacy's "We Can Survive" benefit concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The 25-year-old surpassed thousands of other talented musicians to advance to the final round of the Competition.

Opening Act, LLC will donate a portion of the net proceeds from this year's Competition to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an organization dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.
