Online Commerce Group, LLC (OCG), a leading niche e-tailer of upscale custom outdoor living products, debuts an updated online fabric tool for its websites, including flagship site Cushion Source. The new fabric tool, the product of a 1000-hour investment in internal research and development, features a number of previously unavailable options to create a more enjoyable and seamless selection process for users when choosing fabrics for their custom cushions, pillows and drapes.

Among its new features, the optimized fabric tool includes larger images of fabric swatches so customers can obtain a clear view of the color as well as texture of each fabric prior to purchase. While visitors previously only viewed 10 small images through a scroll down menu, the new fabric tool allows the viewing of 16 large swatches that visitors may browse instantaneously with a single click. In addition, fabrics are organized in a more aesthetically pleasing arrangement with provided coordinating color options, which visitors can modify the order of by dragging, so they can observe how well fabrics will match before making a purchase. To narrow their search down to their specific needs, visitors can sort fabrics by color, brand, pattern, material and quality.

If visitors decide to renew their search, the new fabric tool provides a reset option that clears all fabric selections and settings. In addition, the tool allows users to save their favorite fabrics into a separate folder, making them easy to find on return visits. For users who are not quite ready to buy, the tool also saves recently viewed swatches so users can revisit these fabrics at a later date. For visitors who may still have questions regarding how to use the new fabric tool, a help button provides a small explanation for each tool option when moused over.

Online Commerce Group began developing the new fabric tool in hopes of eliminating friction points for easier use. The updated fabric tool aims to provide visitors with a clearer understanding of search options when browsing for fabrics. "Our Design and IT departments worked diligently to create this new online fabric tool and produce a more efficient fabric browsing option for customers," said Scott McGlon, President and CEO of OCG. "This tool makes it possible for customers to have a pleasant and hassle-free experience when making their fabric selections."
