NYC Professional Networking Event - Small Business & Not-for-Profit Marketing Roundtable

Provident Loan Society of New York devotes the November SPEAKeasy series to a round table discussion focused around best practices for small businesses & not-for-profit marketing companies.

This month's speakers include a media expert, an advertising executive and a marketing strategist who will share their industry tips and lessons they learned throughout their careers.

Entrepreneurs, marketing executives or anyone interested in advancing their professional career is encouraged to attend the SPEAKeasy series on Thursday, November 17th at the headquarters of Provident Loan Society of New York, located on 25th Street and Park Avenue South. The panel begins at 6pm with networking starting at 5:30pm.

SPEAKeasy attendees will leave with a better understanding of advertising channels and marketing strategies that are within their budget as well as insight into how to get their business in the news.

Panelists for the Small Business & Not-For-Profit Marketing Roundtable

Mark Macias is a former Executive Producer with NBC and Senior Producer with CBS in New York, so he understands how the media works from the inside. Finance Monthly named Macias PR the 2016 Financial PR Firm of the Year - USA and 2015 PR Consultant Firm of the Year - USA based on the firm's strategy, expertise, media deliverables and innovation in PR. Macias is also a frequent contributor with CNBC, giving media and PR analysis on timely business and political issues.

Chelsey Pendock is an award winning media planner and the co-founder of Innovision Advertising, a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise. With a background in local and national advertising sales, Chelsey has an insider's perspective of the media industry and uses her expertise to maximize her client's advertising exposure. Chelsey founded and currently leads the NYC Marketing Resource Group, a group of highly skilled, vetted entrepreneurs covering a wide array of marketing capabilities.

Scott Watson is the creative force behind the popular and funny Provident Loan Society commercials that air in New York City. He has many years of experience in not-for-profit and small business marketing.  Scott started out working in advertising and public relations firms in his hometown of Toronto Canada, where he used the creative-writing skills he learned at The Second City, (an internationally renowned improv & sketch theater), to write TV & Radio commercials, briefing packages and press releases.  When he moved to the United States 8 years ago, he starting working with New York small business and not-for-profit arts organizations; project managing their fund raising and marketing strategies.

Attendees will be able to ask the panelists any questions regarding their own business situations throughout the round table. The panelists will also share personal stories for those interested in starting their own business.

Carl Pasha will moderate the discussion with questions geared towards professional development. Carl brings a unique insight into the challenges faced by small business and not-for-profits as well as a track record of professional advancement. Carl started with The Provident Loan Society of New York as a cashier in 1990, working his way up from appraiser to manager. He is now one of Provident's Senior Appraisers and holds the title of Chief Appraiser of Booking.
