Numeracle's Rebekah Johnson Elected to ATIS Board of Directors
MCLEAN, Va., December 14, 2022 (Newswire.com) - Numeracle™ Inc. ("Numeracle"), the pioneer of Verified Identity™ for communications, today announced the election of its founder and CEO, Rebekah Johnson, to the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
The ATIS Board of Directors brings together executives from the leading information and communications technology (ICT) companies to set the organization's strategic, technical, and operational direction. In the election that took place at the ATIS Board of Directors' Meeting and Meeting of the ATIS Members, held in November in Washington, DC., Johnson joins six others newly elected to serve as Class C representatives on the ATIS Board for a two-year term.
An active member of the ATIS/SIP Forum IP-NNI Task Force since 2018, Rebekah's leadership can be seen through her work in the identification and redress of improperly blocked and labeled calls, practical implementation of STIR/SHAKEN via an enterprise-identity-focused trust framework, KYC-based identity vetting and verification applied to the roll-out of trusted messaging standards, and more.
"Solving the practical challenges of consumer-facing communications with an identity-centric approach has been my mission since day one," said Rebekah Johnson, Founder & CEO, Numeracle. "I look forward to my service on the ATIS Board, joining other leaders to move security in the network and trust in identity ahead with every initiative we take on."
"Our Board of Directors' leadership is central to ATIS' role as a vibrant member-driven organization that addresses the most important technology and policy challenges shaping the ICT industry's future," said ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller. "We look forward to Rebekah and our other newly elected Board members' contributions."
In addition to acting as the Chief Executive Officer of Numeracle and Co-Founder and Chair of the Enterprise Communications Advocacy Coalition (ECAC), Rebekah served as a member of the FCC Hospital Robocall Protection Group and numerous other industry task forces and committees. Prior to founding Numeracle, she served on the FCC's Robocall Strike Force on behalf of the Empowering Consumer Choice Working Group and acted as a direct advocate on the Hill for legal businesses negatively impacted by emerging call blocking and labeling initiatives.
