nsquared: Leading Australian Development For The New iPad Platform
Online, May 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Sydney-based software development studio nsquared has already developed the first of its many apps for the Apple iPad that is due to go live on the Australian market any day now (28th May). Overseas sales of the iPad have exceeded expectations and (no surprises) Australia is anticipated to embrace its arrival with the same enthusiasm.
nsync (pronounced 'in_sync') will be available shortly following iPad's Australian release and allows people to easily create calendar appointments and meetings when the attendees are operating in different time zones.
Since its inception back in 2008, nsquared has been making waves in the Australian tech industry. Led by its Director, Dr. Neil Roodyn, and fuelled by a talented team with multi-platform and leading edge development skills, nsquared has already shaken up the digital Australian market.
When Microsoft released the Surface interface earlier this year, nsquared obtained one of the first Surface units to be made available for development outside of Microsoft. This ensured nsquared's place in the upper echelons of the Australian digital development market. It's also the first Australian Microsoft Surface Strategic Partner, and developed the first Australian 'Certified for Microsoft Surface' App MakeWords 1.0, demonstrating nsquared's intimate understanding of multi-user, multi-touch platforms.
Dr Neil explains from Amsterdam where he is training Microsoft Surface Partners: "iPad is light and does 90% of the things I need to do online very well. I use it for presentations: it breaks down barriers not to have a screen up in front of me, and for travel it is just too cool - I read a bunch of newspapers on my flight from Lyons to Amsterdam - all online and cached"
Kristen Kosmala, nsquared's digital manager says, "iPad has a fantastic fusion of NUI and mobile communication features, and we're loving knowing [the possibilities of] where we can take people and businesses with it". The excitement generated by Apple's iPad rides closely behind the release of the Microsoft Surface platform and although massively different technologies, both are proving that the future of digital interaction for consumers is finally getting very interesting.
