Norwich SEO Consultant Is Graduate Internship Programme Success

With Graduate unemployment in and out of the newspapers day in day out it's refreshing to hear success stories of those that have hit the ground running still with mortarboard in hand.

With Graduate unemployment in and out of the newspapers day in day out it's refreshing to hear success stories of those that have hit the ground running still with mortarboard in hand. Many soon-to-be graduates will be starting to feel the pressure as the next cohort of academics pile out of their red brick safe-havens and into the desk job scrum.

The University of East Anglia is just one of many institutions aiming to better provide for its students as they fly the nest and venture out into the real world. The University run a Graduate Internship Programme that has placed over 200 students within local organisations and the benefits of these placements have had great benefits for those involved.

One case study is Ruth Barton, now a Consultant for SEO Norwich based company, Fountain Partnership who said "without the internship, it is unlikely that I would have secured a position at Archant and gained the skills that have set me up for my current position." Ruth advises students to start as early as possible in developing their employability. "Try to get as much experience as you can while you're still at university, and if you can, try and do some work in your own time - even if it's just a blog as this can act as a portfolio of your work.

"Have an on-going list of transferable skills that you can discuss in interviews or fit into your CV: this will save time in the long run so you don't have to spend time working them out when needed. And don't give up!"

Fountain Partnership, a SEO Norwich based company which was founded as a start-up between two young talented copywriters Rebecca Lewis Smith and Marcus Hemsley in 2009 and is now an established and growing organisation. The directors put their success down to hiring young ambitious and enthusiastic people who are willing to learn and thrive on the 'culture of learning' environment that they provide.
