Northwest Indiana Bridge Rehabilitation Project Enters Next Phase of Construction

ITR Concession Company LLC (ITRCC) is announcing that the next phase of construction has begun on the Northwest Indiana Bridge Rehabilitation Project.

Work continues on this project with new traffic patterns beginning on the night of Sept. 6 through Friday, Sept. 8 near the West Point Toll Plaza. To ensure the safety of all motorists, the westbound toll lanes will be dedicated to specific exits. Two lanes on the far-right side of the plaza will be strictly for customers exiting onto Indianapolis (Indy) Blvd, only. All other lanes at the plaza will be dedicated to customers traveling onto the Chicago Skyway.

Customers will need to enter the appropriate lane for their intended exit at westbound mile marker 2.0. There will be numerous electronic signs notifying customers of this new traffic pattern several miles in advance of the lane shift. Travelers are advised to follow on-road signage to ensure they are in the appropriate travel lanes for their exit.

"We continue to make great progress on this project, and we anticipate construction to be completed prior to the Thanksgiving holiday," says Rick Fedder, Chief Operating Officer of ITRCC.
