North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Formed to Serve Junior Golfers
Online, June 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation a volunteer, non-profit organization has been formed for the benefit of junior golfers. The Foundation hosts and promotes affordable nationally ranked tournaments for junior golfers at top courses in the state regardless if they live in North Carolina or not. The Foundation emphasizes affordability, quality and integrity in all of their offerings. There are no paid employees. The supporters of the organization share of love for the game of golf and desire to see young men and women compete at their highest levels.
The organization is guided by a Board of Directors comprised of a diverse group of business and academic professionals. These volunteers have extensive golf industry experience that includes experience playing at the highest levels of competitive junior, collegiate and professional golf. All are parents and are dedicated to providing high quality, competitive, affordable access to tournament golf at top courses in North Carolina.
In order to promote affordable tournament golf among junior golfers membership in the North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation FREE of charge. Entry fees for 36 hole tournaments are priced to cover the cost of each event.Membership is open to any male or female golfer that has not yet entered college, or has not yet turned 19. There is no cost to join, simply complete the membership form at the NC Junior Golf Foundation website.
Events are scheduled each month from September - May.
The inaugural event will be held North Carolina State University's Lonnie Poole Golf Course on September 3-4.
Entries open on July 15, 2011
