The non-profit organization A Boy and His Dream will be packing 50,000 meals to deliver to Nigeria on Saturday, April 9, 2022. The event will be held at the Jones Memorial Community Center in Chicago Heights, IL.

The organizers are inviting the public to volunteer to assist in this endeavor that will benefit underprivileged children in the village of Ekpoma, Nigeria. The event will also be a great learning experience for Chicago-area youth, too. While the mission is serious, the day will be fun and a wonderful experience for families to donate their time to a cause that helps people in need on the other side of the world.

The public is also encouraged to donate their own items as well, such as new clothes, books, backpacks, school supplies, stuffed animals, and basic hygiene products. These items, along with 50,000 meals, will benefit the children in the village of Ekpoma.

About A Boy and His Dream

A Boy and His Dream was founded in 2015 by Sunny Akhigbe - someone who has lived and walked through the devastation of opposition, adversity and a troubled beginning. With his life experience, Sunny is now able to identify with others first-hand and bring a solution to their frustrations.

Sunny and his dedicated Board of Directors focus their mission on fundraising, building awareness of the needs of underprivileged youth in the U.S. and abroad, including his native Nigeria.
