NFL Fan Comes Up With Solution - Fans Should Lockout The NFL

Online, June 9, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The National Football League (NFL) and it's players are in the middle of a standoff. The National Football League has effectively "locked out" it's players and has said they are prepared to either completely forgo playing football this year. They have also made tentative plans to have a late start to the football season or even shorten it to as few as 8 games instead of the usual 16.

On the other side, the football players have taken the NFL to court trying to end the lockout and have been unsuccessful so far.

The football fans are stuck in the middle. Thus far, fans have felt a sense of "hopelessness" and "powerlessness" about the situation. They feel they can only sit back and wait to see what happens.

Bronstein suggests that fans set a June 30, 2011 deadline for the NFL owners and NFL players to settle their dispute.

NFL fans should gather together and say that if the lockout is not resolved by the end of June 2011, they will simply not watch any football during the 2011 season.

While some may see this as a controversial solution, it is certainly an empowering one.
