Newsweek Events to Host Structure 2017 in San Francisco

Speakers Will Feature the Biggest Names and Most Innovative Ideas in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure

Newsweek Media Group, the family of digital-first media brands that start and shape global conversations that matter (“Company”), today announced its speaker line-up for Structure 2017, the world’s pre-eminent convening on cloud computing and infrastructure to be held in San Francisco on Nov. 14-15. Newsweek Events acquired Structure in early 2017 February from Giga-Om, the digital media company.

“Structure 2017 is a cloud technology event like no other bringing together the biggest thinkers from the world’s top technology companies to help the CIOs and the decision-makers of tomorrow see what’s ahead in cloud computing and infrastructure,” said Alan Press, President of Newsweek Media Group. “Like all conferences hosted by Newsweek Events, Structure 2017 features firsthand customer insights, pioneering vendors and leading industry analysts to help leaders in their fields make informed decisions about their businesses for today and tomorrow.”

The cloud technology event will feature a number of trends including:

  • AI: We've seen cooking, chess, portfolio management and self-driving cars. But can we apply A.I. to run our infrastructure more efficiently? Can it outsmart hackers more effectively? Come hear what Oracle, Ayasdi, AT&T and Intel have to say.
  • Containers: Who is really leveraging the full capability of containers? We have a bevy of speakers lined up to speak to the future of containers.
  • Edge Computing: Can a self-driving car in L.A. put up with the packet round trip to a cloud on the east coast? Is VR a reality or an old VHS tape? Amit Zavery, SVP from Oracle will lead the predictions.

Newsweek Events provides today’s consumers and businesses with a more informed and curated global perspective on business, politics and culture across multiple content verticals, with a particular focus on the finance, science, technology and sustainability sectors. Newsweek Events launched in early 2017 in the U.K. with the inaugural AI & Data Science in Capital Markets Conference, which attracted more than 420 attendees from 51 nations and received rave reviews from participants and will be repeated in New York City Dec. 6-7.
