When asked about the inspiration behind Maxwell's Cigar Bar, owner Harvey Burkin says, "Maxwell was my dog and my best friend. When I would come home from work, no matter what time it was, he would greet me at the door and follow me upstairs while I changed clothes and picked out my cigar for the evening. I would grab a glass of wine, put some jazz on the outdoor speakers, and Maxie and I would enjoy the outdoors until my cigar was finished. It was his ritual, as well as mine, and I will never forget him. I have over 20 years of experience with cigars, and Maxwell had about 7 of those with me."
