New! XBinder™ 2.0 XML Schema Compiler

Exton, PA, October 7, 2009 - Objective Systems Inc., a leading developer of software to support open communications standards, announces the release of its new XBinder XML Schema Compiler and Run-Time Libraries.

XBinder 2.0 is an all-in-one XML data binding solution specifically designed to assist developers in cutting project development costs by effectively automating data binding between XML and C, C++, Java, or C# programming languages. With increased demand for engineers to accelerate development and delivery, XBinder's new expanded data binding feature set offers substantial resource savings for a diverse set of industry needs and projects.

"We've seen an increase in developers who want to work with XML, but they don't have time to become XML experts", says Objective Systems President Ed Day. "We've designed XBinder as a facilitation tool for our clients to tackle complex projects in significantly less time. We've cut as much as six or more man-months from some projects and improved overall code quality."

The expanded code generation support gives development organizations more flexibility in meeting customers' needs for different implementation languages. Developers can use the code produced by the compiler in conjunction with the run-time libraries to produce interoperable encoders and decoders for use in many different application types including data communications, security, gaming, and telephony applications. Any application that works with XML data and an associated XML schema can make use of XBinder.

New features of Version 2.0 include:

The ability to generate code in Java and C#.

Support for two different derivation models ('extended' and 'interface') to allow more robust support for complex content, particularly where restrictions on the content are involved.

An option to generate a factory class that makes working with multiple message types from the same piece of code easier. For example, with XBinder 2.0 a single piece of application code can more easily process both purchase order messages and payroll messages.

Support for encoding and decoding documents that make use of UTF-16 and ISO-8859-1 character encodings.

Support in C and C++ generated code for nillable elements; i.e., elements within an XML message that may explicitly state that they have no value.

The XBEditor graphical (GUI) editing program has been improved to include auto completion of elements and attributes when defining new schema files.

Evaluation software may be freely downloaded from the company website; a free demo version is also available.
