New Music Video by Christian Band The Sunrise Revisits the Historic 1970s Jesus Movement
Online, August 19, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Considered by some to be the century's biggest movement of the Holy Spirit, the Jesus Movement swept over the United States in the late 1960's, and throughout the 1970's.
Musical artists like Larry Norman, and later Keith Green, blazed a new trail of Christian rock music that had no predecessors at the time. This music moved a generation into God's family, and opened doors of churches to the "unwashed" that had previously been closed.
Now, in 2013, The Sunrise seeks to recapture the spirit of God's inclusion by chronicling a history of the Jesus Movement for the benefit of today's generation. They do so in an original song aptly titled, "The Jesus Movement."
In addition to a lyrical and musical story, the official music video release for The Sunrise song, "The Jesus Movement," presents a visual history that includes pictures and video clips from the time period to illustrate the song.
