In her 12 years within the pet industry, Horvath has created a space of her own by offering natural, safe alternatives for the chemical and steroid treatments often prescribed for some of the most common reasons for unplanned veterinarian visits. She began offering these products in her local markets and online, eventually finding her place within independent retailers and veterinarian offices around the United States. “It’s been great to break through at veterinary practices,” states Horvath, “Pet parents are blown away when they can leave their veterinarian with a fix that is safe and effective, yet priced under $20.”
About Natural Paws
Founded by Elyse Horvath in 2005 to help her beloved cocker spaniel, Sweet Pea, Natural Paws’ mission is to use nature’s abundance to help dogs feel better by offering safe, natural, remedies keeping paws, skin, and ears healthy and clean.
Natural Paws’ product offerings include 3 organic solutions (original Sweet Pea’s TenderPaws, hypo-allergenic Sweet Pea’s GentlePaws, and extra-strengthening Sweet Pea’s ActivePaws) to quicly remedy irritated paw pads which have become inflamed or dry and cracked. Dogs often lick or chew their footpads when they are feeling allergic or dry, which can exasperate the problem and cause what can be easily mistaken for obsessive behavior. Natural Paws’ offerings absorb extremely quickly, so that dogs’ activity level doesn’t need to be limited while his paws are healing.
Natural Paws launched its 4th product, EARoma thEARapy, in 2014 as a remedy for Sweet Pea’s chronic ear infections. This innovative product is the first and only ear wash on the market making it possible to clean a dog’s ears without the uncomfortable, unpleasant, and potentially dangerous flooding of the inner ear canal. The spray innovation has been impressing veterinarians and pet parents like, and allows a less wasteful and much tidier way to do a previously unpleasant task.
Ditch the Itch entered Natural Paws’ lineup in the 4th quarter of 2015. After the loss of Sweet Pea (Horvath’s cocker spaniel) in the summer of 2014, Natural Paws had looked to its customer base to learn what issues their dogs were suffering with that had not been successfully and safely remedied. Ditch the Itch has helped dogs with allergies who had previously been taking over-the-counter anti-histamines as well as prescribed steroid treatments, to find their relief in from a natural product with no side effects.
