National Pawn 2012 Scholarship Winners Announced for Wake County
National Pawn, an 8-store chain in the Triangle and Wilmington, NC areas, has awarded $1,000 scholarships to two graduating seniors from Wake County, NC.
Online, June 26, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Rachel Gogal, of Garner Magnet High School, and Alex Garver, also of Garner Magnet High, have been awarded the 2012 National Pawn scholarships for students in the Wake County Public Schools. Each student received $1,000 toward college expenses. Rachel will be attending UNC-Chapel Hill, where she will major in either political science or education. Alex will attend the College of Management at NC State.

Rachel is Senior Class Vice President, and is involved in the drama and chorus departments (playing the lead in two of three drama productions), and is on the soccer and cross-country teams. Alex is multi-talented, showing evidence of his leadership in the three-pages of community activities listed in his application. Activities include the UNC-Wilmington Young Writer's Camp and the Hugh Shelton Leadership Challenge.
