National Automobile Museum Announces Historical Thursday Talk on E.L. Cord, Industry Pioneer Who Created Empires in Transportation
RENO, Nev., May 29, 2019 (Newswire.com) - The National Automobile Museum has announced that its next topic for the Second Thursday Talks will feature a discussion on E.L. Cord, an industry pioneer who created empires in transportation. Errett Lobban "E.L." Cord was an American business executive and considered a leader in United States transport during the early and middle 20th century. Cord founded the Cord Corporation in 1929 as a holding company for over 150 companies he controlled, mostly in the field of transportation.
It will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, 1:30-2 p.m., in the Museum's Theatre. Enjoy

Speaker: Terry Nielsen
Terry Nielsen is a docent at the National Automobile Museum. Terry is retired after 45 years in the Meat Industry. As VP of Sales for Sara Lee Foods (now Tyson), he managed national accounts for 30 years. He founded Nielsen & Associates when relocating to Reno in 2006 and was a consultant and broker to many Fortune 500 companies in the meat, grocery and bakery industries. Automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, piston engine airplanes and boats have always been a true passion for Terry. His hobbies include automotive history and biographies of prominent manufacturing leaders.
