Ms. Elite Florida 2016 is Saving Lives One Child at a Time
Tampa, Florida , October 14, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Ani Hudgens of Riverview, FL was crowned Ms. Elite Florida Woman of Achievement 2016 earlier this year. She will now represent the Sunshine State at the U.S. National Woman of Achievement pageant which will be held November 3rd – 6th, 2016 on The Queen Mary historical ship in Long Beach, CA. Delegates from across the United States will compete in Interview (25%), Platform Presentation (25%), Creative Expression/Speech (20%), Fitness (15%) and Evening Gown (15%). Winners receive thousands of dollars worth of awards, scholarships, prizes and will be featured in national promotions.
In 2010, Ani Hudgens was involved in a horrific roll-over auto accident caused by a distracted driver. Of her numerous injuries, the most serious being a TBI: Traumatic Brain Injury resulting in seizures, profound hearing loss and multiple health challenges she continues to fight to overcome every day. But Ani Hudgens is alive today because she was wearing her seatbelt!
In early 2013, Ani's mission of Saving Lives One Child At A Time began by creating greater awareness about seatbelt safety. She launched her Buckle-Up, Every Trip - Every Time campaign leading to the development of The Miss Buckle-Up Princess Foundation, Inc. With the assistance of her side-kick, Becky Buckle-Up, this unique non-profit organization provides educational programs to schools, churches, civic organizations and special community events teaching children and their families the importance of car seat, booster seat and seat belt safety. In 2015, Ani Hudgens and The Miss Buckle-Up Princess Foundation received the prestigious National Celebrity Educator Award and the KIDZ in Motion Child Passenger Safety Hero Award.
Ani is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother who is a leader and advocate in her community with various charities and cause. She has over 25,000 lifetime volunteer service hours under her crown and has received The President’s Volunteer Service - Call to Service Award for making a positive impact in her community and throughout our nation.
