Moye White's Conover Honored by The Denver Foundation
Denver attorney, Jerry Conover, was honored by the Denver Foundation for his philanthropic work in a special ceremony on November 18
Online, November 22, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Jerry Conover was honored by The Denver Foundation, Colorado's oldest and largest community foundation, at a special ceremony November 18. Conover is an attorney with the Denver law firm, Moye White LLP.
Conover was presented with the Foundation's 2010 Philanthropic Leadership Award, which is given each year to legal and financial professionals for their role in guiding individuals in their philanthropic decision-making. Attorney Elizabeth Bryant and Financier Michael Cuomo were co-recipients of the award.
"While Jerry has been a successful trial lawyer for more than 30 years, the charitable work he performs in our community continues to be an inspiration to us all," said Moye White Managing Partner, Jim Burghardt. "It is very gratifying to see him honored this way by the Denver Foundation."
Conover is a lifelong community activist and founder of Hope for Generations, a fund held by The Denver Foundation. In 2002, cognizant of the fact that children make up the largest segment of society living in poverty, Conover and a group of friends decided to pool their Social Security income and other charitable contributions to help children in need. The result of these efforts was the creation of Hope for Generations. Over the past five years, the Fund has given away more than half a million dollars for early childhood development causes.
