​Mowzart Lawn Care (Mowzart.com) has launched in Hampton Roads, Virginia with plans to change how homeowners buy lawn care services.    

With the recent explosion of app and internet based service providers across the nation, it should come as no surprise that there is finally an innovative service like Uber for lawn care called Mowzart.  There are now dozens of companies like Uber that are using the internet and mobile apps to connect products and services with consumers, but none of them are Hampton Roads based, that is until now!

Mowzart Lawn Care (mowzart.com) connects homeowners with landscapers and handles all the logistics and payment just the ride sharing platforms of Uber and Lyft.  The landscaping industry is currently worth over 71 billion dollars, 35% of which is in the residential market.  This means it has an even a greater potential for growth than the new app based taxi services that have grown so much in the last three years.

Starting today, homeowners all over Hampton Roads can get instant pricing for lawn mowing services.  Mowzart.com gives homeowners online pricing and a scheduling tool to have their lawn mowed using only their street address.  The Mowzart website conveniently accepts debit and credit card payments thanks to proprietary software that then connects them with pre-screened lawn care providers to get the work done.  Homeowners will also be able to rate their providers to ensure quality performance and customer service

Founder and CEO, Daniel Plawski launched Mowzart in early 2015 already having a history of starting and maintaining a successful business.  In spite of his young age, in 2011 Daniel started Peninsula Landscaping Inc. based in historical Yorktown, Virginia.  Since that time Peninsula Landscaping, Inc. has steadily grown with recent sales for the first half of 2015 at $900,000.  The company expects to close 2015 with gross sales just over 2 million.  That makes Peninsula Landscaping, Inc. one of the leading local landscaping companies in the Hampton Roads market.  The firm was recently featured in the national industry magazine, Turf Design Build.  Peninsula Landscaping, Inc. currently has (37) full time employees (some of which directly assist with Mowzart.com) The firm recently moved to a 7,500 sq. foot commercial facility which more than doubled their previous office location in Hampton, Virginia.

Using industry insider experience, existing offices, infrastructure, staff, and cash flow, mowzart.com is perfectly positioned for rapid growth under this new business model.  Daniel is now working to secure significant seed funding to further develop the online platform and further expand its customer base.  Several similar companies in Texas and on the west coast have raised upwards of 1 million dollars in the last few months indicating that this business model is HOT!  

There have been a few challenges as developing any website can be been both time consuming and costly.  Originally Daniel Plawski hired an Oregon based company to initiate the project but ultimately decided to fly in an equity partner from Warsaw Poland to take over and work on the project full time.  Two months ago the highly skilled web developer, and Mowzart’s new Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Kyle Borkowski joined the Mowzart.com team and immediately started working on the new online platform.

Mowzart.com gathers information about the parcel of land using graphic information systems and satellite imaging to deliver instant pricing to the homeowner.  Customers are able to select if they have fencing, would like weed control and other services, as well as frequency which adjusts the price.  Customers can select specific service dates and book using their credit or debit card the same way you would buy an airline ticket.

During the upcoming months, Mowzart Lawn Care will also be releasing a mobile app which can be used on both the iOS and Android systems.  The Mowzart management team also plans to apply to Y Combinatory, a top start up accelerator, in the fall of 2015.  The landscaping industry, known to insiders as “the green industry”, has traditionally been technologically behind other industries and Mowzart Lawn Care is determined to change that.
