MIPR Holdings Launches Video Highlighting Its Cannabis Investment Seminar in Culver City, CA

MIPR's program, "Opportunities to Invest in the Green Rush: Emerging Cannabis Market," offered an inside look into the history, present, and future of cannabis.

MIPR Holdings (MIPR) hosted an informative seminar, directed at educating emerging professionals in the cannabis industry on the plant’s history, the evolution of legal marijuana in the United States, and investment options for legal marijuana businesses and key players. Presented on July 9, 2016 in Culver City, CA, the sold-out event was made successful through a collaborative effort from MIPR’s leadership team.

A video produced by MIPR told the story of how the seminar came to be, per MIPR founder and CEO, Khadijah Adams. Adams, who has been a business professional for decades and has been immersed in the business side of legal cannabis for nearly three years now, wanted to foster a relationship between those looking to invest in the growing legal cannabis industry and those cannabis-related businesses seeking help from investors. As both crowds are newcomers to the game of cannabis investing, Adams knew the opportunity should be both informative and engaging.

"There's money to be made, and lenders are always looking for new spaces to put out money. This is a space uniquely positioned to attract independent lending companies to come in and lend into the space and help companies grow."

Barry Wolfe, Managing Director of Davos Capital

To create a one-of-a-kind educational experience that married both sides of the investment coin, Adams needed a “powerhouse.” She relied on MIPR’s new CFO Armand Walker to be that powerhouse. Walker has years of experience working at different levels within the investment and financial industries. While he is new to the cannabis scene, he was very excited to learn from and work with a company as forward thinking and encouraging as MIPR.

“My company, my life, my career has been spent focusing on emerging businesses, minority businesses, women-owned businesses, businesses that are applying themselves to new technologies and new environments,” Walker said in the MIPR video. “The cannabis industry represents just that.”

As an investment expert eager to teach new skills and practices to the individuals and entrepreneurs jumping headfirst into the emerging legal cannabis industry, Walker put together a presentation that helped the attendants to learn about investment options and where they can find reliable research on legal cannabis companies, still considered relatively fragile by most financial experts.

According to Walker, what was perhaps the most powerful part of the Culver City seminar, was the opportunity for attendees to connect with dozens of industry companies and like-minded professionals. As a company, MIPR works not only to bridge the gap between money and small businesses, but to create a helpful network of cannabis professionals and real world connections that will help small businesses grow and thrive in the cannabis industry. The Opportunities to Invest in the Green Rush: Emerging Cannabis Market seminar allowed the company to accomplish that.

In the event video, behind the scenes interviews with entrepreneurs and industry experts speak to why the seminar is valuable and how it came at the right time for emerging professionals.

“The industry is growing, it’s growing rapidly,” said Barry Wolfe, Managing Director of Davos Capital. “There’s money to be made, and lenders are always looking for new spaces to put out money. This is a space uniquely positioned to attract independent lending companies to come in and lend into the space and help companies grow,” he added.

Wolfe was just one of many professionals who came to MIPR’s Opportunities to Invest in the Green Rush: Emerging Cannabis Market seminar with a wealth of knowledge specific to his or her own industry, but left equipped with information on the cannabis industry and its history, how to obtain licensing and investors, and owning and operating a firm within the cannabis space

As the cannabis industry continues to evolve and invaluable opportunities present themselves within the space, MIPR hopes to continue educating and encouraging investors and business professionals to get involved in the legal cannabis industry and feel confident in the work they contribute to its growth.
