MicroTech Expands Senior Management Team, Adds Former Microsoft Executive
Online, June 7, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Leading Services Provider and Technology Integrator MicroTech announces the expansion of their executive management team with the appointment of Tim Dioquino as Sr. Vice President, Infrastructure, Cloud & Mobility Solutions (ICM). Dioquino served over 13 years at Microsoft Corporation, where he led Microsoft Federal's Core Infrastructure product sales, driving Private and Hybrid Cloud solutions, including the Modernized Business Desktop.
In his new role with MicroTech, Dioquino is charged with the conceptualization, development, and delivery of high-impact services and future technologies developing in the areas of advanced infrastructure, cloud technologies, mobility solutions, and systems integration. He is responsible for setting strategic direction and operational goals, overseeing all aspects of the solution development, sales, and business development, as well as operations management for the ICM business unit.
"Tim Dioquino is an outstanding addition to the MicroTech executive team," said Tony Jimenez, President and CEO of MicroTech. "His leadership and experience immediately makes MicroTech that much more capable and responsive to our clients and partners, and strengthens the company's leadership position in the Federal technology marketplace. I look forward to working closely with Tim in further advancing our successful business strategy."
Dioquino brings over 30 years experience in the Information Technology field directly related to Federal, military, and public sector IT environments. "Throughout my career in the Federal space, I've always paid attention to MicroTech," Dioquino said. "I'm now glad to be able to contribute to the company's success."
Following his career as a U.S. Coast Guard officer, Dioquino spent time with Signal Corporation and Lockheed Martin, helping lead the implementation and transition of the U.S. Defense Messaging System (DMS) for the DoD.
Addressing the current state of the public sector cloud market, Dioquino said, "The Army for example with their thought leadership are consolidating data centers with acquired cloud-computing services for their private cloud. The APC2 cloud contract really opened up the door for MicroTech and has provided us with a lot more opportunity. MicroTech MicroKloud solutions, including the MicroPodd portable data center, provides the technology agility to fulfill the Army's operational requirements, not only from a garrison and sustainment perspective, but also from a tactical prospective with forward deploying forces."
