Metafrax, Inspired by Its Beneficiary Owner Seyfeddin Roustamov, Promotes Event for Cancer Patients
More than 150 employees of Metafrax Group have passed blood tests at the enterprise premises for inclusion into the National Bone Marrow Donor Register. In the future, they can save many lives of cancer patients.
GUBAKHA, Russia, February 7, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Seyfeddin Roustamov, beneficiary owner of Metafrax PJSC, supports the annual marrow donation program organized by Russian Aid Foundation (Rusfond) together with Dedmorozim Children's Charitable Foundation. To promote the charitable program, Seyfeddin Roustamov made a donation that covers all expenses of 2018 associated with the attraction of potential donors in Perm Territory and the procedures for their inclusion in the register of bone marrow donors. Due to his support, local inhabitants can become potential bone marrow donors at no expense and save about 1,000 children and adults.
New donors can save many cancer patients who need the bone marrow transplantation. For a cancer patient, a bone marrow donor is a unique chance to survive and recover from the disease. However, the compatible donor is very difficult to find because the number of potential donors is low. Actually, the Russian register of bone marrow donors includes only 77,000 people, while for treating 50 percent of patients who need the bone marrow transplantation, the register shall include at least 500,000 donors.
Such activities bring meaning into life. It might be that I would never be engaged as a donor, but one day I may save someone's life. Knowing that before age 50 years, I can at any moment be called for the bone marrow transplantation encourages me to be toned and take care of my physical and mental health so that one day I could take care of others.

Each potential donor who passed the blood test will become someone’s hope for life, because the bone marrow transplantation is a chance to recover from more than 40 malignant diseases, including leukemia, lymphomas and autoimmune diseases.
