Men's Make-Up Brand Could Sell for £5million

East Sussex based firm approaches the £1million mark in turnover and that's only just the beginning.

It’s been a fairytale adventure for British based men’s makeup firm MMUK MAN since the beginning of 2013.  With profits soaring and public exposure recently reaching new heights, it was announced in The Mirror earlier today that turnover is expected to reach £1million in 2016 for this East Sussex based firm.

Now, in a new twist to this businesses adventure, it looks as though some of the biggest players in the cosmetic market want in on the action.  Co-founder Alex Dalley has expressed his delight that more and more are turning to the power of makeup for men to improve their appearance and confidence, claiming that to this day, products such as concealer, foundation, clear mascara and beard filler remain ‘the core of their product range and the products that are driving this whirlwind demand.’

MMUK MAN’s first years turnover in 2012 stood at £62,000 and now three years on, with a turnover of over 10 times that, it’s not surprising that the likes of L’Oreal, Estee Lauder and Johnson & Johnson are all reported to have shown an interest in acquiring the brand.

With these figures adding fuel to the raging fire of the men’s cosmetics market and further illustrating just how much the men’s cosmetic market is growing at present, Mr. Dalley is said to be ‘seriously assessing his options’ said one inside contact from within the company.

Whilst the woman’s market remains saturated with low, medium and high budget brands, the men’s makeup market remains quite the opposite, with MMUK MAN in particular, covering all bases in helping men look fabulous.  Male makeup was once seen as something of a taboo, however, it appears as though the stigma of men looking after themselves is quickly diminishing and MMUK are in pole position to capitalize.

It has been reported that a figure in the region of £5million could be enough to persuade Co-founder Alex Dalley, (27) and business partner Stuart Dalley (48) to pass on this men’s grooming baton to a bigger cosmetic house.  However, with the pair keen to maintain the traditions, quality and personal touch, which have proved to be the foundation of MMUK MAN’s emphatic success in recent years, one thing is for sure, the brands ethics and ethos look set to remain intact.
