McCumber, Daniels, Buntz, Hartig & Puig P.A. is proud to announce the newest members of its attorney team: Lawrence M. Silverman and Joel I. Fishbein.

"We are honored that these seasoned, AV rated litigators, decided to bring their experience and passion for defending professionals and businesses to McCumber Daniels," says Andrew McCumber, Managing Partner at McCumber Daniels.

Lawrence "Larry" M. Silverman focuses his practice on long-term care litigation, malpractice litigation, trucking and transportation litigation, construction litigation, insurance coverage, and professional liability. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney with nearly forty years of litigation experience in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Silverman is an experienced and successful trial advocate. He has tried dozens of cases before juries on behalf of primary insurers including complex professional liability suits, construction site bodily injury claims, product liability, aviation, trucking and general negligence matters, many involving death and catastrophic injuries, as well as bad faith claims and complex coverage disputes, spanning the spectrum of coverage litigation. He has defended, without the need for trial, hundreds of other claims. As an experienced leader and mentor, Mr. Silverman was chosen to serve as managing partner of two prior firms. Mr. Silverman is a member of numerous bar associations and professional organizations and served as a member of Governor Rendell's Medical Malpractice Task Force and as counsel to the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society. Mr. Silverman is licensed to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals 3rd Circuit, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Mr. Silverman has argued numerous times before the Pennsylvania appellate courts and he has been admitted pro hac vice in numerous cases in state and federal trial courts in New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as state and federal trial courts in Delaware and the Delaware Supreme Court.

Joel I. Fishbein currently concentrates his practices on long-term care litigation, medical malpractice litigation, employment law, commercial litigation, and appeals. He has tried dozens of cases and arbitrations and has extensive appellate experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Because of his expertise in arbitration law and practice, he is also helping clients in drafting arbitration agreements and developing supporting policies. He has also represented businesses and business owners in commercial litigation matters involving executive compensation and covenants not to compete; shareholder litigation on behalf of frozen out shareholders, defamation and tortious interference, breach of contract cases; and NASD arbitration claims relating to unsuitable investments, churned accounts or fraud. Recent successes include convincing the intermediate appellate court in New Jersey to enforce an arbitration provision in an assisted living contract which required finding a New Jersey statute prohibiting such agreements to be preempted by the Federal Arbitration Act. Mr. Fishbein was honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a "Forty Under 40" (Philadelphians to Watch) in 2000. He achieved the designation of Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2006 and 2010.
