MAGE SOLAR sets up sales in Slovakia

The company established a local sales force in May 2010

Ravensburg (Germany), June 1, 2010 - MAGE SOLAR GMBH, part of the globally operating MAGE GROUP, has established its own sales force in Slovakia since May 2010. The company offers the complete MAGE SOLAR portfolio on site: high-grade MAGE POWERTEC modules, intelligent MAGE SAFETEC mounting systems and a high-performance branded inverters.

In Slovakia, the climatic conditions for productive solar plants are very good. The annual solar irradiation per square meter is comparable to southern Germany. Because of this, it is possible to build profitable photovoltaic power plants. In addition, the introduction of a feed-in tariff in September 2009, guaranteed for 15 years, has increased the interest in solar energy. The Slovakian market has a big potential, even if the grid operator sets an unofficial upper limit for solar plants because of the low capacity of the local grid.

„Slovakia is interesting for us because of the good solar irradiation," says Norbert Philipp, CEO of MAGE SOLAR GMBH. „Of course, the market is limited because of the restrictions of the grid operator. But we see great opportunities for medium and small plants as well as for off-grid systems that do not feed into the grid but produce for own consumption."

Until now, MAGE SOLAR supported the Slovakian market from the Czech Republic, where the company established a subsidiary in 2009. With the strategic expansion of sales activities in the neighboring country, MAGE SOLAR continues to extend its network in order to ensure an individual service to Slovakian clients as well.
