Look What's New At The 2012 Central Ohio Home & Garden Show

New floor plan, stages, features and more give show a whole new feel

The 2012 Central Ohio Home & Garden Show, presented by gridSMART from AEP Ohio, announced today plans for a complete makeover of the show, offering a new dynamic layout that enhances the visitor experience. Guests will notice significant changes throughout both the Garden Showcase and the Home Improvement Expo, with brand-new stages and features, a new, redesigned floor plan, informative stage presentations and 11 lush gardens celebrating Columbus.

A brand new Garden Showcase layout allows easy accessibility to all 11 gardens, with a view from every angle. The Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Garden Stage within the showcase will feature workshops, presentations and appearances by lawn and garden experts, including everything from vegetable gardening with Ashton Ritchie, to programs led by master gardeners. A new Marketplace will feature more than a dozen unique cash & carry vendors offering guests a chance to shop and stroll through an outdoor market setting.

Upon entering the Home Improvement Expo in the Bricker Multi-Purpose Building, guests will be welcomed by a fresh layout, including a wishing well water feature and a central promenade that leads them to the new Telhio Credit Union Center Stage. The Center Stage will feature the region's top chefs, plus headline talent, amateur cake and floral decorating contests and loads of other special events and demonstrations. Also new this year, the Lowe's DIY Stage will occupy the northwest corner of the Home Improvement Expo and will feature hours of how-to home improvement programming. Presentations will help homeowners identify the right contractor for any job, plus provide top tips from the experts, helping do-it-yourselfers save money and tackle any home project in the best, most cost-effective way.

Back by popular demand, the Basement Doctor 97.1 Fan Cave and the Ultimate Garage offer creative ways to turn a boring basement or garage into the ultimate sports, entertainment and Mr. Fix It lair. Ideas range from surround sound, a personal sports bar, big screen TV's and oversized furniture, to tools and garage flooring and organization solutions.
