Long, Hot, Wet Summer Results in Eexcellent Apple and New Peach Crop At Apple Holler; Just in time for the Peaches & Cream Festival

With all of the rain and heat we have had so far this summer, apple picking at Apple Holler has arrived early this season. In addition to delicious, fresh, juicy apples, the folks at Apple Holler think it is just "peachy" that their peach trees

To welcome in the new peach crop as well as the early apples, Apple Holler will host the Peaches 'n' Cream Festival earlier than expected this year. The Peaches 'n' Cream Festival will begin August 13th and run through the 31st. Following that, will be the long-awaited Fall Apple Festival. In addition to the peach picking, the first varieties of apples; Paula Red, Jersey Mac and Viking are ready to go, with an additional 30+ varieties of apples and pears, that will be available for picking at various times throughout the next few months.

To tempt those taste buds even more, Apple Holler has a fantastic variety of mouth-watering treats as well. The month-long Peaches 'n' Cream Festival includes Pick Your Own peaches and apples along with jams, jellies, freshly baked peach pie and build-your-own Peach Shortcake. Also, throughout the month of August, visit the ice cream parlor from 10am-4pm and enjoy fresh peach shakes, malts, sundaes and smoothies as well as 99¢ ice cream cones. For the adults, enjoy free Peach Wine tasting and special sales in the Country Store and Gift Shop.

Don't forget about that Apple Holler down-home cooking. Enjoy All-You-Can-Eat Peach Praline Pancakes only $4.99 everyday in August from 7:30am - noon. On the weekends, you can partake in their famous breakfast buffet from 8am - noon; the delicious lunch buffet from noon to 3pm; or order from a huge selection of menu items that will really "stick to your ribs". The restaurant is open from 7:30am - 7:30pm, Monday through Thursday; 7am - 8:30pm Fridays and Saturdays; and 7am - 7:30pm on Sundays.

Let the kids burn off some of that summertime energy while enjoying some family time together on Saturdays and Sundays. Available 11am - 3pm on the weekends are many great attractions including: wagon rides through the orchard and Enchanted Forest, hand-led pony rides, pedal cart rides, the Kiddie Train, Teddy Bear Moonwalk, and gemstone mining at the Apple Holler Gemstone Mining Company. Available on weekends as well as weekdays are: the Crazy Corn Maze, The Golden Goat Bridge and other farmyard animals to visit and the Kids' Coral play area, complete with a beautiful Rainbow play system, an Amish-built wooden train and the Cool Cow Maze.
