Liquid Ice Wins Beverage Maintenance Deals

Liquid Ice, Inc. of Northboro, MA has signed new service agreements with FM Facility Maintenance to service 7-Eleven and Exxon-Mobil locations in CT, MA, and RI. In a separate agreement, Liquid Ice will service Hess Corp. locations in Western MA.

Liquid Ice, Inc. of Northboro, MA announced today that the company has signed new service agreements several major convenience store chains in MA, CT, and NH.

FM Facility Maintenance., a Hartford, CT based provider of facility management, has designated Liquid Ice, Inc., as its Primary Service Provider for 115 Alliance Energy, and 69 7-Eleven locations managed by FM Facility Maintenance. The agreement covers Alliance Energy's company-operated sites and for 7-Eleven locations in MA, RI, VT, and ME. For Alliance Energy locations, the agreement covers service for coffee brewers, icemakers, soda fountains, and frozen beverage equipment. For 7-Eleven locations, the agreement covers only coffee brewing equipment.

In a separate agreement, Liquid Ice was contracted by Hess Corp., as primary provider for 33 locations in Western Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. The Hess Corp. agreement covers coffee, soda fountain, and icemaker equipment.

Liquid Ice President Al Del Re notes: "These developments solidify Liquid Ice's position as the leading independent provider of dispensed beverage repair services in New England. We now participate in contracts with 4 of the 5 largest convenience store chains in our operating area and will be building on this success to further improve our offerings."

Liquid Ice was awarded the contract in spite competitive bidding from rival firms because of the company's reputation for prompt and economical service, and because of the company's ability to service a broad geographic area. The agreements began in August and September, 2011.

In a related development, Liquid Ice announced the appointment of Bill Lyons, as Vice President of Operations. Lyons brings nearly two decades of manufacturing, supply chain and quality experience to the position, having held various supply chain management and operations positions at national companies.

Lyons most recently served as Supply Chain and Demand Planning Manager at Nypro, Inc. of Clinton, MA. and has held senior positions at Hewlett Packard and Biz2Net.
