Light4 Debuts At Euroluce 2013

LIGHT4 DEBUTS AT EUROLUCE 2013: Products presented during the design week in Milan and events (Euroluce 09-14 April 2013, PAD 11 STAND G 46)

Light4 debuts at Euroluce and presents its new products with the brand "Façon de Venise" and "Goccia", winning project in the Light4 Design Contest 2011-12. Their first participation in Euroluce is a very important goal for the company but above all is a departure point which is included in the basic idea of the stand: an OPEN OFFICE in which to discuss, compare and discover; at the PAD 11 STAND G 46 there will be four positions open to all to stop and allow room for light. The exchange continues in the centre of Milan at the Light4 store (Via Giosue Carducci 34), where the closing party will be held on Saturday 13 April at 7.30pm.

LIGHT IS LIFE is the brand's official pay-off and these are the words that best identify the spirit in which ideas of light are born, for decoration, observation and play. LIGHT4 is introducing itself to the market through the brands ML, Vintage, Façon de Venise & Itama. Different ways of interpreting light but a single way of doing business: the new lighting brand from Treviso offers a product made in Italy with high commitment to contracts. Their products are always innovative, elegant and practical.

Brian Rassmussen, the artistic director of Light4, affirms his minimal style by designing the BRICK lighting fixture for Façon de Venise: a simple shape with strong colour and texture. Wide variety of chromatic choices for a modular lighting fixture with a white metal painted stand and white methacrylate diffuser. The visual effect, similar to a series of waves, transmits the continuity of the project with the designer's past studies on modularity and flexibility of objects.

Among the many pieces of news for 2013 is the collaboration with new designers such as the architects Romani and Saccani who design the modern and unconventional SEAHORSE. The name clearly describes the shape which inspires this line of lighting, a single concept articulated in different ways, from an imposing chandelier to wall lights. It is made from chrome metal, while the covering is of elastic fabric. Again, in this case the colour is the strong element and versions in white, brown, silver, gold, green, grey, camouflage and ivory are available.

The innovation is in the materials for DRILL, gypsum lighting fixtures decorated byarchitects Cambi, Scatena and Turini. A product that crystallises the essence of the Façon de Venise brand, developing the identity of the classic Venetian chandelier with personality and elegance, as the point where freedom of expression and design meet.

Over 250 projects participated in Light4 Design Contest 2011-2012, launched with Façon de Venise and entitled "La luce e l'illusione (light is illusion)". The panel chaired by the French architect Alain Moatti carefully analysed the participants' personal research into the potential as regards formality and content of home lighting. The idea comes from the union of four young designers: Valentina Calcidese, Yuan Fei Gong, Giulia Puntoni and Lu Yao are students at the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa currently studying a specialist degree in product and event design and today are collaborating with us. Their "Goccia" is the winner of the Light4 Design Contest, a striking suspension inspired by the effect generated from impact with a liquid surface; a lighting fixture made up of several hand-blown glass discs. The product will be officially presented during Euroluce; the lighting fixture will be displayed at the Light4 store in Milan.
