"Light Twister" Blown Glass Sculpture Installed at 540 West Madison

Chicago, United States, June 15, 2016 (Newswire.com) - As part of 540 West Madison ownership's commitment to the environment and goal to achieve LEED Platinum Certification, a rainwater recycling system was recently established on the building. To commemorate the completion of this achievement, "Light Twister" - a blown glass sculpture created by Lasvit, was installed throughout the lobby and noted as the final step in the sustainability transformation.

Lasvit's designers drew inspiration for the shape of the blown glass pieces from rain drops, mirroring the building's sustainable systems. The “Light Twister” sculpture is 190 feet long and consists of more than 3000  hand-blown crystal components in various shades of blue in combination with silver and clear opal.​
