LifeLong Medical Care's New Health Center Continues Dr. William Jenkins' 50-Year Commitment to Richmond
LifeLong William Jenkins Health Center Celebrates Grand Opening Oct. 15
Richmond, CA, October 12, 2016 (Newswire.com) - As one of the first African American pediatricians in Richmond, Dr. William Jenkins was extremely dedicated to the community, a devotion highlighted by a 50-year career during which he treated more than a million patients. Now, LifeLong Medical Care will continue Dr. Jenkins’ commitment to the Richmond community through the LifeLong William Jenkins Health Center.
A grand opening celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, October 15 at the Health Center, 150 Harbour Way.

Before his passing in 2012, Dr. Jenkins merged his practice into LifeLong Medical Care. LifeLong Medical Care recently moved the practice to 150 Harbour Way in an effort to anchor the new Health Center and serve as the foundation to expand services.
The Health Center, which serves pediatric patients, is a staple in the Richmond community. “I’ve known a lot of our patients for three generations,” says Guillermina Flores, who worked with Dr. Jenkins for 39 years and is now the supervisor of the LifeLong William Jenkins Health Center.
