Leesburg Arts Fuse Festival is a Showcase for the Senses

Downtown Leesburg festival, March 12-13, to feature approximately 100 visual, literary and performing artists, interactive art stations, Emerge 2 student exhibit, CENFLO Film Screening and Murals

The Leesburg Arts Fuse Festival promises to stimulate the senses with a variety of unique art, handcrafted jewelry, sculptures, live music, circus arts, local authors and theater performances, interactive art stations, and public art.

This fun-filled two-day festival, presented by The Leesburg Center for the Arts, will showcase approximately 100 visual, performing and literary artists displaying their work along Main Street in Downtown Leesburg, on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13, each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Among the visual artists attending the festival will be Central Florida-based artist Crystal Dombrosky. Crystal is also the artist who created the artwork used for the 2022 Leesburg Arts Fuse Festival event poster. Also in attendance, Villages-based Michel Bergeron, with Visual Diplomacy. Michel will showcase his custom-made wood sculpture named "Arty" which stands 7-ft tall.  As well, visual artists will be competing in the 90-minute Quick Draw competition sponsored by Pastel Society of Central Florida on the lawn in TownSquare, Saturday, March 12 from 10 am-12 pm.

Celebrate Youth Art Month with us and peruse the EMERGE 2, I am an Artist exhibit in 415 W Main St., sponsored by United Southern Bank.  Young Artists from seven area schools will compete for cash prizes.  Award winners' work will be on display in United Southern Bank from March 15-March 24.

Listen to live music as the Concert Crawl, sponsored by TB Financial Group, kicks off Saturday at 11 am and Sunday at 11 am. Central Florida musicians will be playing their original music. The crawl will begin at Townsquare and will continue down Main Street each hour at a new block.

Discover, Explore and Experiment Art in Leesburg during the festival with many local performing arts groups, including the Melon Patch Players, Central Florida Dance Collaborative Choreographers, Artist with a Purpose - Spoken Word,  JdeV Circus Arts, Riverwind Flute Circle and CENFLO Film Screenings.  

Art is a-brewing in downtown Leesburg. Beacon College Studio Arts Instructor and Artist, Russell Bellemay shares four large metal sculptures for a pop-up 3D installation during the festival. Muralist Nicki Forde and Cecilia Lueza will be finishing their mural work on two walls in the Downtown Area. Central Florida-based visual artists Andrew Raymond and Arnold Drake will be painting BIG art located in front of the Tropic Theatre.

Make art in the many ArtMake Stations located throughout the festival. Visit the Clay Art Studio, Chill Art Station, Botanical Print, Chalk Art and Tie Dye stations to create your very own piece of art sponsored by Insight Credit Union.

Art aficionados will enjoy strolling down Main Street while browsing the artwork as well as visiting downtown shops and galleries and enjoying food from local restaurants and food vendors.
