LEAP Agency Releases Healthcare Whitepaper Geared Toward Millennials
Louisville, Kentucky, June 28, 2018 (Newswire.com) - To succeed in the digital economy, healthcare providers need to start paying more attention to the Millennial generation. Understanding this generation’s perspective and what their needs are is the only way to stay relevant as the digital world advances.
LEAP Agency does extensive work for healthcare companies and to better serve our clients we asked our research division to start putting together research for inform our strategy and thinking. Starting in 2016, LEAP Agency began conducting focus groups, surveys and patient panels made up of Millennials, asking their view of healthcare organizations and how the brands connect and care for patients. Turns out, Millennials believe healthcare organizations are a few steps behind nail salons, in terms of marketing at least.
"As our work with healthcare organizations has expanded, we've found the same types of disconnects between healthcare brands and their patients. In our focus groups, we heard both problems and solutions common to healthcare. With vast access to information online and social media, patients are more empowered than ever to share thoughts on their treatment and their overall wellness. In today's digital age, it's just as important healthcare organizations feel the same confidence - in their brand and with their technology - to talk back."

Millennials have grown up with technology literally at their fingertips. They will get text reminders about their nail or hair appointments, but a letter in the mail from their doctor, telling them it’s time for a check-up. This lack of digital connection makes Millennial patients feel like they have limited accessibility to their healthcare organization or provider.

In our focus groups, we heard both problems and solutions common to healthcare,” said Alan Gilleo, CCO of LEAP Agency. “With vast access to information online and social media, patients are more empowered than ever to share thoughts on their treatment and their overall wellness.
