By the end of November 2016, QRS will release a software update to its PNOmation3 technology that includes an Amazon skill set to integrate with Amazon’s Echo and Echo Dot, giving customers the ability to control their player piano with simple voice commands. Customers can ask their piano to play, stop, go to the next song, change volume, play their favorite playlist or go right to their favorite song, artist or genre.
The company’s award-winning PNOmation system turns any piano into a player piano that can be controlled by a smart device. Earlier this year, QRS announced the first wearable app for the piano and keyboard market, which won a 2016 Super NAMM Award for Innovation in the music industry.
