Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof Slave Station/Pager Telephone System, CI/II/III, VoIP
KEMP, Texas, May 6, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof slave station/pager telephone system for use in hazardous indoor and outdoor locations. This NEMA 4X rated phone does not require keypads or SIP servers for operation and is made of cast aluminum, with an ABS handset. This unit offers five party lines and five alternative-page destinations.
The EPPH-230A-VOIP-PG explosion-proof telephone is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Zone 1; Class II, Division 1, Groups F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This telephone is powered by multicast VoIP technology and operates on 120/230V AC 50/60Hz, providing up to eight ohms of speaker output. This unit is equipped with a dynamic noise-canceling microphone with 18dB at 250Hz microphone noise discrimination.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof telephone features a dynamic receiver that is compatible with hearing aids. The enclosure housing provides protection from dust, dirt and fibers and is resistant against the corrosive effects of water, sleet and rain. This unit can be wall-mounted using four mounting feet on the back of the unit. Five NPT hubs for wiring, including three 3/4-inch and two 1-inch hubs, can be found at the bottom of the enclosure. Suitable applications include chemical plants, refineries and more.
