Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Portable Evaporative Cooling System, 34Gal, 8,723 CFM
KEMP, TEXAS, May 23, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof portable evaporation cooling system rated for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous work locations. This unit is a galvanized air chiller that combines a non-sparking fan and dry mist technology to cool hazardous work areas. This cooling system comes equipped with a 34-gallon tank and two separate water filters to cool the work environment for up to eight hours.
The EPF-AC-30-GLVD explosion proof cooling system is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Group D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2; Groups E, F and G hazardous locations. With a 30” fan and eight spray nozzles, this cooling unit can reach an evaporation zone of five to 10 feet. This unit measures 36” wide by 39” deep by 66” tall and will automatically shut off when the water reservoir is empty. This unit has an ambient temperature rating of 10˚C to 65˚C and runs at 8,723 RPM.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof portable cooling system weighs 175lbs and can reach areas of up to 3,500 square feet. This unit has a 30” spark-proof aluminum blade, enclosed wire and motors and features 6” pneumatic wheels. This unit operates on 120V or 220V AC with an amp draw of 6.62A on a 120V AC system and features a 20-foot 16/3 SOOW cord terminated in an explosion proof plug. Suitable applications include construction sites, industrial work areas, hazardous locations and more.
