Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Network IP Camera, Built-in Infrared, 12/24V DC, 2.0MP

This remote inspection camera is explosion proof, dust and ignition proof, weatherproof and tamper resistant that provides a live feed from inside tanks, vessels, reactors and other hazardous environments. This unit delivers up to 2.0MP resolution at 30 fps.
The EXPCMR-IP-POEP-2MP-IR-108D-1XLE3-1224 explosion proof network IP camera is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This network IP camera features a built-in 1/2.5” progressive-scan CMOS image sensor that delivers up to 2.0MP resolution at 30 fps. This camera features a wide-angle fixed lens with 108˚ field of view for covering large work areas.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof network IP camera comes equipped with built-in infrared light for capturing low-light conditions and features a spot or flood beam configuration. This camera features four Edison Edixeon® 3-watt LEDs that produce 180 lumens each and are arranged in rows paired with high-purity 10˚ optics. The infrared light is powered using a customer-provided 12V DC or 24V DC low-voltage power source.
The camera is powered by PoE and utilizes 120dB true wide dynamic range. This camera also utilizes 3D digital noise reduction and true day/night IR-cut filter removal to create clear images in low-light and variable conditions. The network IP camera automatically switches from full color to IR mode when low light is present. Camera link-up is achieved with a customer-provided RJ45 ethernet cable that is run back to a customer-provided DVR system.
An NVR is required in order to record the stream from the camera, while live-view does not require an NVR. This unit features an ATEX/IECEx certified copper-free aluminum alloy body and a stainless-steel mounting bracket/handle. Suitable applications include vessel, tank and reactor monitoring, remote observation of external facilities, and more.
