Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof Extension Cord Plug, Rated 20 Amps, 5-Foot SOOW Cord

This explosion-proof extension cord plug is rated at 20 amps and, when paired with Larson Electronics’ EPP-20A series plug, is compatible with the EPO-20A explosion-proof 20-amp outlet.
The EPP-20A-5FT-BCE explosion-proof extension cord plug must be used in 120V or 240V T-style outlets and, in order to maintain an explosion-proof rating, it must be paired with an explosion-proof outlet. This plug is designed to lock into compatible twist lock receptacles by twisting the plug body until a click is heard. When locked into place, the plug cannot be pulled out accidentally. This plug is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Group G and coal dust; and Class III hazardous locations.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof extension cord plug comes with five feet of 12/3 SOOW cable with a blunt-cut end. This plug is watertight and ideal for use where moisture and corrosion is an issue. This plug is made of non-sparking aluminum, brass pins and a longer housing for easy handling.
