Larson Electronics Releases 400W Hazardous Location Light, 200' Cord, Portable, 25,000SqFt Coverage
KEMP, Texas, June 27, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a portable 400-watt hazardous location light for use in Class I, Division 2 work settings where flammable gases and vapors may be present. This unit uses a 400-watt metal halide lamp that is capable of illuminating 25,000 square feet of space. This unit is approved to be used in wet and marine environments.
The EPL-PM-1X400MH-200 portable 400-watt hazardous location light is rated for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations. This light is pedestal mounted and comes equipped with a 400-watt metal halide lamp. This unit features 200 feet of abrasive and oil resistant 16/3 SOOW cord terminating in a Class I, Division 1 explosion proof plug. The metal halide lamp is mounted to a metal pedestal platform with adjustable T handles to provide vertical adjustability.
Larson Electronics’ portable hazardous location light features a single carrying handle to provide easy carrying and movement around the work site. The portable base stand is made of non-sparking aluminum and the metal halide lamp can be adjusted up or down 90˚ and locked into position. The lamp housing is weatherproof and made of die-cast aluminum featuring a hinged and removeable front-access door.
The optical assembly on this unit features a precision-formed aluminum reflector and heat and impact resistant tempered flat door glass. The light on this unit produces a wide flood pattern and operates at temperatures to -20˚F. This unit operates with 120-277V, 480V and 220/50Hz. Suitable applications include use in hazardous locations where flammable gases or vapors may be present as well as wet or marine settings.
